Karen Melanson practices Macrobiotic approach to cooking.  She spent 4 years as an assistant cook to the director of the East/West Macrobiotic Center, and is a graduate of  The Strengthening Health Institute.  Karen is a pastel and water color artist.  For  over 30 years, she has worked as a Medical Technologist specializing in Microbiology and is a  hospital  lab supervisor.

 

Brian Kahn has been exploring various cooking styles, bodywork and energy for more than 40 years.  He too practices Macrobiotics and teaches its subtler aspects along with what he calls a “Conscious Diet.”  Brian’s broad and eclectic background includes farming, model building, Botany, Ecology, Biomedical research , microscopy, and his Custom Woodwork Design and Fabrication business of 25 years.  His work has taken him from diving the Gulf of ME  to coral reefs off Belize to the amazon basin of Peru.
